This website sets no cookies of its own, and no analytics, advertising or social media cookies. That is why you will not see a cookie banner: there is no need to ask permission for something we do not do.

One technical item for the age notice

So that we do not have to ask your age on every page, your browser stores a small technical item using local storage (localStorage), named “escondite_18”. It contains only the date until which we remember your confirmation, and it expires after 30 days.

That item contains no personal information, is never sent to any server, does not allow you to be identified and is not shared with anyone. You can remove it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

The Google map, only if you ask for it

On the Contact page we offer a Google Maps map that does not load automatically. Only when you press the “Show the map” button does your browser connect to Google, which at that point may set its own cookies and see your IP address.

If you do not press that button, this website makes no connection to Google whatsoever. You can also use the “Open in Google Maps” link, which takes you straight to Google’s site.

Links to other services

When you click the links to Google Maps, WhatsApp or Booking.com you leave this website. Those services apply their own cookie and privacy policies, which we recommend you consult.

How to control this in your browser

You can block or delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings. Each browser handles this differently; you will find instructions in its help menu. If you block local storage, the age notice will appear again on every visit.
